Hello Freedom Trade Family,
We would like to share a few updates with you about what has been happening internationally and what is soon to happen here in the States.
We have moved into the neighborhood! This is probably our greatest achievement of 2017 so far. It was a daunting task to secure a flat in the brothel area. We were turned down several times due to the nature of our business. A local family welcomed us, and frequent trips to the brothel are now a regular part of our endeavors. The women are incredibly receptive and interested in the path to freedom, work, and dignity. Next up, paperwork! Lots of paperwork for pioneering our freedom business! It’s a crucial time and we have never been more excited!
We wanted to let you know about some important dates that are coming up very soon.
On October 14th, a global community of abolitionists will rally together to shine a global spotlight on human trafficking. Walk For Freedom is a collective effort led by A21, a global anti-human trafficking organization dedicated to abolishing slavery everywhere, forever. Last year there were over 300 walks in 40 countries around the world. This year Freedom Trade is the proud host to the first ever “Walk for Freedom” in Pelham, Alabama! Please go to a21.org/Pelham to get all the details and sign up to participate. If you want to volunteer or be a sponsor for the event, contact us through our website.
The 2017 Fall Belk Charity Sale is a private ticketed event on Saturday November 4th from 6-10am. The
pre-sale is October 23rd through November 3rd. We will be participating at the Belk in Alabaster, Alabama. Tickets are on sale for $5 – which then doubles as a $5 coupon. You can purchase yours through our website beginning next week. Please contact us if you would like to sell tickets on our behalf at your place of business, church, or organization. We keep 100% of the proceeds, so it’s a great way to raise funds.
Come out to see us November 11-12th at the Pelham Civic Complex for the Birmingham Boutique Blowout! There is no better place to finish your Christmas shopping. Every purchase you make gives the gift of freedom.
On December 2nd, come see us at Summit Crossing Community Church Advent Market in Huntsville. This event gives a multiplied benefit to clean water, freedom, and a variety of other worthy causes around the globe. We hope to see you there.
